Brooke Fraser – Flags

I would like to present one of my absolute favorite artists, Brooke Fraser. Brooke Fraser or as her name is today, Brooke Lighterwood, is a fantastic singer and songwriter, coming from New Zealand. She has written and performed many famous worship songs as, “Hosanna”, “Lead me to the cross”, “None but Jesus”, together with the Hillsong worship team. She is also a well known secular artist around the world and has until now released 3 albums + one live album recorded in New Zealand. A rumour says she will release a new album in 2014. I had the previlege to be on a Hillsong United Concert 2009, in Vasteras Sweden, were Brooke Fraser was a part of the worship team. It was a fantastic worship concert I never will forget. Many young Christians made new decisions and many visitors raised their hand and became Christian. I have picked Brooke’s latest album, “Flags”. My favorite song on this album is, “Who are we fooling?”. Listen to the entire album on Spotify. Download Brooke’s albums from iTunes or buy her CD’s.

Seventh Day Slumber – Love and Worship

Seventh Day Slumber is a Christian rock band from Dallas, Texas formed in 1996. The band’s name Seventh Day Slumber comes from Genesis 2:2 where on the seventh day, after creating the universe, God rested. I would like to present, “Love and Worship”, Seventh Day Slumber’s second worship album filled with songs that you already know and love. My favorite song on this album is the Hillsong cover, “Your Name High”. Listen to the entire album on Spotify. Download this album from iTunes or buy the CD.

Jonas Myrin – Dreams Plans Everything

Jonas Myrin is a great Swedish Grammy Award winning singer, musician and songwriter now based in Berlin. His song style reminds me a little of another great swedish singer, Peter Joback. Jonas started his musical career in the early 2000s as a worship leader at Hillsong Church London and songwriter for various international acts he went on as a solo artist in 2012. His anticipated debut solo album is finally here, “Dreams Plans Everything”. I have enclosed a link where you can get a pre listening of some songs from this album: http://www.jonasmyrin.com/
Buy “Dreams Plans Everything” on iTunes.

Meredith Andrews – Worth It All

Meredith Andrews is a unique contemporary pop/worship artist. Her latest studio album, “Worth It All”, is a potent collection of songs that celebrate God’s sovereignty and share Andrews’ deep and unwavering faith. My favorite song on this album is, “Burn Away”. Listeners have already embraced the lead single, “Not for a Moment”. Written by Andrews, her husband Jacob Sooter and Mia Fieldes, this gorgeous ballad features a heart- stirring vocal performance. Listen to the entire album on Spotify. Buy Andrews’ CD’s or download her songs from iTunes.

Hillsong – We Are Young & Free

Hillsong Young & Free debuted at the Hillsong Annual Conference in July this year, and have now released their debut album, “We Are Young & Free”. I think one of best track on this new album is no. 3, “Wake”, in the live version. Some of the songs on this album have a catchy synthesizer sound. We sing the song, “Alive”, in our childrens church, and they really love that song. You can download this album from iTunes. It is also possible to do a pre listening on Spotify.

Phil Wickham – The Ascension

Worship leader Phil Wickham has recently released his new album “The Ascension”. Phil is a talented songwriter and has so many great songs in his locker, and this new album is full of them. There is special one song on this album that I think stands out, “When My Heart Is Torn”. This song is what I call a modern hymn. Here is an excerpt of the songtext from, “When My Heart Is Torn”: I have found redemption in the blood of Christ, my body might be dying but I always be alive. This new album by Phil Wickham is well worth checking out. Download “The Ascension” from iTunes.
